Studio Profile

MikeRoePhonics Digital Audio is a mixing & mastering facility serving the Iowa & Illinois Quad Cities area, and beyond. It is dedicated to providing musicians the highest quality production possible, while keeping rates affordable. The studio is constantly expanding it's capabilities, both in the careful selection of gear as well as it's knowledge base of audio engineering techniques.

I have a wide appreciation for many styles of music, ranging from hard rock, contemporary jazz, electronic, orchestral, blues, etc. I believe that having a wide musical taste affords me the ability to recognize the needs of the music I engineer, regardless of it's genre. Every project I work on is approached with a fresh perspective, and is engineered according to what each song and the album as a whole need to breathe musically.

When working on a project, I like receiving input from the musicians involved. The better understanding I have of the artists perspective, the better the end product. My ultimate goal with each project is to deliver a sound that enhances the musical performance, and takes it beyond what the artist expects sonically.
